I was recently looking at the SONRIS GIS and noticed there is a large area with no Haynesville units south of Pleasant Hill. Why is this? Is there any activity planned in this area? I am leased with SWEPI, is Shell just standing by for now? My property is in S9 T09 R11W. Thanks for any updates!

Township 9 North, Range 11 West has 33 Haynesville Drilling & Production Units. SWEPI has 17. Chesapeake has 13. EnCana has 3. 25 sections are HBP by Haynesville wells. 3 others are HBP by other wells.
Thanks for the info, I am learning to use the Sonris and need a little more practice. I haven't heard anything from anyone since they did the seismic testing. As always I appreciate your info. Thank you.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
