IEA - Monthly Gas Statistics

The latest IEA's Monthly Gas Statistics report including May 2024 data shows that for Total OECD:                                                                                              

  • Production of natural gas1 decreased by 0.8% compared to May 2023.                            
  • Imports (entries)1,2 of natural gas were 12.3% lower on a year-on-year basis, and total OECD exports (exits)1 decreased by 7.3% in the same period. 

Gross consumption of natural gas decreased by 1.3% in May 2024 on a year-on year basis.   

This report, updated monthly, provides data on natural gas production, consumption, total imports and total exports for all OECD Member countries, and natural gas pipeline and LNG trade by origin and destination for all OECD regions.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
