As things develop, the goal is to provide tools that provide valuable info sharing opportunities. In the near future, we will be launching a series of "Leased By" groups that will focus on discussions by those who share common producer-lessees. In order to make sure we are prioritizing companies properly, I need some help. Take a second and give a company a vote if you are leased by them.
So, go vote by clicking here.
Electrodynamics got this started by starting an "Already Leased" group. http://www.gohaynesvilleshale.com/group/alreadyleased. IF YOUR COMPANY doesn't initially have a group - this will continue to be the place for all others to go and you can categorize based on companies within this group.
We then started discussions about what would be the best way to continue "already leased" conversations...by section, by company etc. Decided to go with companies. I think it will be more useful long term. Perhaps, down the road, I'll find better ways of utlilizing S-T-R.
I have already launched two of these groups. Check them out.

The county/parish groups will continue to play the key role in local activity.
These new groups will be the place for lessors to discuss all those things that are unque to being mineral owners. Royalties/Land Issues/Releasing/ etc... If a company xyz is late on their royalty payment - we want to know that. If comapny xyx isn't respecting your property - they need to be called out. Hopefully, this will not be the norm and the discussions can focus on the day-to-day issues.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks!

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
