Two years ago we leased our land to JW Operating. Questar is drilling a well in our section. Does that mean that JW Operating sold our lease to Questar? I don't understand how all of this works.

I have never heard of JW. Are they a small company with not much HS experience or a fly by night type organization? Just wondering.

Gosh Darn,
I would agree with you excellent comment. We have been receiving royalties paid by JW for over 10 years. They always pay on time and whenever you call their office you will get honest, friendly service. You may hve to leave a message, but someine will call you back and answer your questions. I suppose most of JW's experience is in the Cotton Valley, but wouldn't they have alot to lose if they were incapable of drilling the HA.? I have been pleased with QEP as far as drilling, but I have issue with other aspects.
I wouldn't say JW is incapable of a HA well. They do have less experiance, hopefully with the use of good contractors this weakness can be minamized.

I will say that JW is a great company, in my opinion, unless you are trying to get into one of their pipelines!

Thanks for the replies. We leased to JW a couple of months before all the excitement started. We are happy that Questar is doing the drilling.
