Graysands--Lot of info but, the Question is does any one have data with verification on a SHALE well in Shelby County--ie Bossier or Haynesville Shale formation that has been drilled???? I do not see anything in this report. I know several wells in the Shale have been drilled and reported in Nacgodoches, Rusk,Panola, and Harrison by several different E&P, but what about Shelby?
That's why it's so slow today?
this was verified by drilling sup, that in the last two weeks that common resources definately
drilled a haynesville well about 9 miles southwest of center tex ,was a vertical drill tested
around 4.5 mil, plan to drill out horizonal soon
Thanks HS ,Is that the Red River 877 well? It was spud 10/10/08 per rrc. Then amended premit to horizonal on 10/17/08 with total dept 15,000' and 4275' H leg. On rrc drilling permit it says that it is James Lime well. Are you sure it is a shale well? If you know it is making 4.5 mmcf you must know some one. I do not believe they can fac a vertical well to test and then drill out horizonal on same vertical hole. It would require another hole drilled to go horizonal. Please ask you contact to confirm formation with vertical dept. Thanks look for your reply
according to drilling sup for them it is definitely hs , they dont have to drill new hole tto come up and kick off horizonal. dont really know exactly where he got his initial test amount at 4.5 mil, but thats what he told me personnly. also the buffco
well west of center is not shut-in its producing about 1.5 mil on 8-64 choke out of the casing , plan to maybe refrac ,didnt get good shot first time , then go in with prod tubing , also according to xto rep the thomas well west of center came in around 10 mil . they have permitted 6 more wells in this unit . also waiting to hear on hughes # 4 they have completed and are currently drilling hughes #2 at this time all out in the waterman community
HS---Just found new info Devon just completed the McSwain 7 H it is a haynesville shale well in the Stockman field SW Shelby. Test results are tight lip at present time. Next to Spud is Palmer #1 east of McSwain along Hwy 7 near a vertical well southern egg ranch # 2 that is shut in gas, just west Center,Tx drilled by Buffco recently.
IP on the Mcswain 6 was over 5mmcfd. It was at about 15,000. I think they called it a 'wildcat'. Seems like the companies have done evrything they can to avoid labeling anything Haynesville but what else can it really be if it's 15,000 feet?
the McSwain 7 will start Fac operation this weekend and data on testing sometime in January 09 drove by pad drill site last weekend all info tight and maynot be out to public until normal 30-90 days after sell into pipeline at rrc across the counter in Kilgore rrc office.
To say 'all info is tight' about that well location is an understatement.
I would like to know if anybody knows about any drilling news. In the James co. about 7 miles east of center.
