The amounts in the mailed offers to purchase royalty have greatly increased recently.   Is there any new activity?  We are in the southwest portion of the county.

I am referring to Harrison County, Texas.  I thought I was in that group.  I will also post in that county group.

No new Harrison Co Horizontal permits posted for SW part of county in the past 6 months.

Not sure what the offer amounts are that are referenced here but generally speaking offers to buy minerals have taken a significant downturn since the first of the year along with the price of natural gas.  I am temporarily advising clients to delay soliciting purchase offers or accepting the lowered offer amounts.  Only in dire need of fast cash should anyone be considering a sale at this time.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
