UH OH!   This doesn't look good.

I saw the ad for this show...betcha going to be good and funny.  I enjoyed the interview with couple old coots who were shalenaires...there they sat in lawn chairs out in what looked like a pasture in coveralls just being their delightful selves with the old barn behind them housing two new Cadillacs.

IF they ever drill on my little tract I will continue to be Kranky, still drive my Jeep pickup, still be just about the same as I am now.

I figure I am already about as blessed as one can be..living in the Piney woods, sitting on my porch watching deer in my front yard.  Money will just make it nicer then it already is.

Will plan to watch the show.  You have to realize  Bayou folks are already a hoot.  Mix in Billions of dollars and you have to have a laugh in there.

Looks too much like a Beverly Hillbillies/Jersey Shores mash up.  I know who the old guys in the lawn chairs are.  I'm not worried about them.  The extended family in the teaser are another matter.

Let's see how it goes in a few months when the checks start to drop.  I bet family togetherness goes out the window when the cash drops.  People will start counting how much each other got.

However, you gotta love an inlaw who uses three names depending upon the section of the country he is in! And, those new teeth of the grown daughter's do look great!!

That is awesome.

Lets hope they paid their taxes..I know a 'nair who spent the checks ...didn't pay taxes...ran up credit cards and then checks dropped.  This person may end up losing their land and royalties.

But no amount of money will cure stupid.

When it all hit my wife and I were approached about being on a show. We were about to sign the contract when I realized I liked my privacy too much. Would also hate the pressure of having to keep up appearances for the show. I like being myself too much.

I'm with you olddog!!!!   I've been approached several times, but like you, I said no!!!!!

I did do one interview for a paper and regretted it for 6 months. The phone never stopped ringing and everyone had a sad sob story. Almost changed my phone number because of it. That was just a newspaper article, I can't imagine what grief a tv show would bring.

I let that young fellow, that was doing a documentary, who was at the first shalers party on Red River ride with me for a day or two. Haven't heard anymore on that one but I haven't seen but just a few short clips of any of the stuff that has been published. Was confronted about the 60 minutes one but knew better than that.

A show about not paying taxes on the bonus checks would be priceless!!  Think of all the shows possible with this family and people they owed money to in the past!

I bet everyone from long lost kids to long forgotten creditors pops up in the show - not to mention a forgotten warrent or two.

Damn guys, I've never watched a reality show before and you've got me intersested in this one!

(ok, truthfully, i did watch Search for the New Elivra!)

HANG

Oh my gosh!!!!!
