I thought that might catch your attention, Henry. And it is solid proof (as if we needed any) that SWEPI can drill under-performing wells in central DeSoto Parish just as they do in south DeSoto or north Sabine.

This was one of SWEPI's first horizontal wells. As you know, it was spud almost 1 1/2 years ago. Let's not be too hard on them -- the other companies all admitted to learning curves. Maybe we can hope that SWEPI's later wells will use what they learned on this, and some of the earlier ones, to produce better results. Or am I just wishing? (I have a personal interest in seeing SWEPI do well.)
In any event, this is the first results, ever (!) we've seen from SWEPI on a horizontal. That alone, is significant.

Henry. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Thanks for pointing out that this well is 1 and 1/2 years old. Sheesh, I also hope the newer completions are better

Henry, I suspect there is a minor error in the reporting of the test information. I believe the flowing pressure may have been 5500 psi rather than 897 psi with the lower value actually being the separator pressure. Also, the test information appeared to be over a month after the completion date so the well would have declined in rate. Finally the length of the perforated lateral looked shorter than other wells. If these items are true then the well is comparable to Chesapeake's in this area.
