This well, which is located in the Holley field, is in the testing phase. Does anyone know of the nearest producing well(s) in the same field and rate(s) of production? I cannot find a map that shows the numbered Townships to locate adjacent wells.

Lanadan, that is a challenging task but the following are options:

1) Search for the "Well Allowable" under Document Images in Sonris.

2) Check the well information on Sonris. Sometimes the completion information is included under the scout information.

3) Send a request to me. I can check to see if I have the completion information.
Les, can you interpret what is going on with the Dyson well in Sec. 21 T15N R14W (Desoto). It is in north Desoto. It is an east west well by Encana. I don't understand why it projected until June 2010 to be 6994. I have not seen another well with allowables projected out that far. NEedless to say I am interested as we have land in that section
Les, I have heard from an industry insider that this well, which has been in production since 8/06/09, has been choked back and is producing 8mmcfd due to low gas prices. There is nothing on Sonris about the production figures. Do you have any information on it? Obviously, I am interested in the well's potential production.
LBM, unfortunately there is still no test information available but I will let you know if any turns up.
Hey Les, are you saying that there can be incomplete information on different areas of Sonris? For instance, if I lookup a well using the serial number, there might not be potential information but I might find it elsewhere on the site? Thanks.
Bacon, under Document Images there are the Well Allowable reports. Sometimes the potential information will be there, sometimes shown on the well report and sometimes in both spots.
Les, based on this press release by Mainland Resources that has a 22% stake in the well and my conversations with the company, this well surely would make your honor role list if it was not choked so tightly!

Les, in the Mainland Resources, there is this statement: " The Operator has been performing tests with a number of wells
in order to determine if increased backpressure will affect well productivity.
The Dehan well is one of the test wells."
Do you know if any other operators have tried this and if so, their results?
LBM, several operators have indicated they are experimenting with different choke sizes to determine the optimum approach for the early production profile. No one has provided any detailed results from their analysis.

The Dehan well would likely produce 25+ MMcfd on the same choke size as the Griffith well.
Wow, thanks, Les. If you hear of results from the choke experimentation, I am sure we all would like to be informed.

FYI, the guy at Midland said that they fully intent to drill more wells per section in the future, but that there are still so many units undrilled that need to be protected, there is no way of telling when more wells will be drilled on producing units.
Les, did you see my last two posts about the Midland press release? I would be interested in your comments.

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling
