I hope they get the wells drilled in 24 & 25 before school starts back in the fall. It looks like they are attempting to do so.

There is a location for a well in Section 24 and a location in 25. Who ever prepared the plat must have TRANSPOSED the Section Numbers.
Parker, it appears they have moved the original surface location from 24 to 25
The 24 in the well name refers to the fact the well will be completed in Section 24. The location of S25-T17N-R13W refers to the surface location being in Section 25. The well can be drilled across the section line but all perforations along the lateral will be in Section 24 and will be located at least 330 ft from the section line.

I think might be two wells going on this site. I live next to the site and it looks really big. I have 239789 HA RA SUC; GRAYSON 24H and 239822 HA RA SUD;GRAYSON 25 H They been preparing this for over 2 weeks now and still not finished. They work from sunup to sundown 7 days a week.
Trenna, it appears the well site may straddle the section line with one well surfaced in Section 24 and drilled south into Section 25 and the other well surfaced in Section 25 and drilled north into Section 24. This allows Petrohawk to perforate the maximum allowable lateral length (4620').

Petrohawk, Grayson 25 #H1 Well, Serial #239822, S24(25)-T17N-R13W
Thanks Les. That was just what I had figured out by looking at the info on DNR site. Guess its good that we got two wells going in. One on 24 and one on 25. Yay :P
Looks like drilling has begun on the drilling site adjacent to this site. #239822 which is actually located in Section 24, but will be drilling into section 25 has apparently been Spudded on 8-10-09.

Any indication if they'll go directly from drilling 239822 to drilling 239789 as they'll have the equipment on-site?
cerebra,

The extention of the Grayson lease called for both wells to be spudded before December 31, 2009.
Parker:

Good reporting here. You're all over this one...
Thanks parker. Gonna be an awful lot of activity behind the elementary school. Wonder how disruptive it is.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
