Just wanted to sneak in a "thank you" to Skip, Les, Jay and others who answered my neophyte queries re the Petrohawk map -- You have no idea how hugely informative all of your postings are for folks like us who know nothing about mineral rights, the acronyms used everywhere, the implications of the data or even the most basic map reading details. We are very grateful.
You are welcome, Beth. You know Keith pays us big bucks to do this? Right? LOL! Speaking strictly for myself, I get satisfaction from observing a progression by non-industry members from little or no knowledge of the basics to quite a proficient understanding of the basics, an ability to access the same public records that I do daily in my business and their willingness to help other non-industry members who find their way to GoHaynesvilleShale. They "pay it forward", so to speak. To all that do, I extend my gratitude.
I agree. Many thanks for your help and all the other knowledgeable folks on GHS.

I gotta get back to cutting wood. Sure hope my well pays off. I could use a chainsaw :)

Beth said it so well. Thank you Skip, Les, and Jay for all you do. I'm thankful for the way you treat others here as much as your knowledge. Such down to earth, kind people you are! We are very very grateful for you, as we are Keith. GHS wouldn't be GHS without you. Thank you!
No kidding.
These people seem to know what their talking about......at least they've convinced me that they do.
Thanks for answering all of other questions.....at least we feel that we are getting information from someone in the know.
We are so blessed to have all of you willing to answer our "out of the loop" questions.
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks ShaleGeo. That means we're in the 4bcf zone? I'm assuming that means they think there is less total gas than in the green zone.
Where do I find these pages?? Would like to see Page 43. I am a TRUE NEWBIE....
Hi, LaLady, and welcome to my world! If you scroll back to page 4 of this thread, look at the message four down from the top from ShaleGeo, you'll see the link to the whole Petrohawk document. I tried copy/pasting and even uploading from my own files, but neither worked -- so this is best I can do. Truthfully, I couldn't read it even in that format, expanding it as much as I could...but the ol' eyes aren't what they used to be and I don't know the area...Good luck!
Here's a link to the presentation from Petrohawk's website:

Thank you very much....now ever heard of the "Spider Fields"??
OK.. I have a map that shows our area as HA RA SU LL which is right next to Parish Rd 139.....does that tell anyone anything????? Gosh I feel so lost!!!
looking further it looks like the intersection of R-15-W and T-11-N. I'm talking Greek to me.
