Kim it is across the entire road frontage part of my land. They are saying they already have the right to lay pipeline but went ahead and chose to sent the 500.00 for something. I am confused. I signed a lease to explore 2 yrs ago...and was paid 450 per acre. If you know, what do they mean by "proportionate" amt per the 3000.00 per acre?
Yes be sure that they can only transport product from your units wells ..if they want to use it for other products then they supposed to pay more.
Also..you do not have to agree to allow this. The reason I refused this transport of other product is that in the event they close the wells they drill on my unit then there will not be a pipeline running across my land for another well's benefit without paying for the right.
An attorney told me that it can work kind of like a toll road.
You really do need an attorney before you sign anything. Got that advice right here on this site and I acted on it.Never been sorry about that.
I have learned a lot on this site but I didn't have to pay the obscene price of ignorance. ONe fee to the attorney was all it cost me.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
