Joy,

If the succession is complete and your Judgment of Possession is filed in the East Feliciana Parish Conveyance Records, you do not need to do anything more at this point. If a company is interested in leasing your property they will have a landman contact you to negotiate an oil and gas lease. When you are contacted by a landman, that would be the time to hire an attorney. If you add me as a friend and send me a message on this site I can recommend a few attorneys in your area that have a strong oil and gas background and know all the players.

Hello, Joy.  Click on Andrew's name in blue and you will be directed to his personal page.  There you will find an option to send him a "friend" request.  When he accepts your request, you and he can send messages to each other directly.  I suspect Andrew has better connections as far as qualified O&G attorneys in your particular area.  Welcome back.
