Does anyone out there know about a well that is possibly going in Section 30 in Red River Parish? I have heard that, but just wondering if anyone else knew of it.
Thanks

Thanks Jim, I am in Section 30, Range 14 , Township 9, if this helps!!
We are in the Mt. Zion area behind Max Woods. Orie Gay place.
Trisha, if you are in Red River Parish, that must be Township 14,Range 9, Section 30.
I'll defer to Jim on this since he used to stay near there. - But I haven't seen the permits for a well in 30, however I am familiar with the production directly to your North which should move your way as they feel out the Southern portions of what Forest Oil has developed.

However, I could not tell you if this would be planned Haynesville exploration or a continuation of the Cotton Valley wells.
Jim,
Where did you live on Mt. Zion Rd. and did you know any of the Gay's- Glen Gay, Shorty Gay, Orie Gay, Curtis Gay----
Also does your reply mean I am included in your last post or not? It's not my section.
I'm confused, as all of you can tell!!!!
Jim, if you lived here, maybe you can help me- there is a pink pole? which everyone has told me usually means a well?? across the road from Max Woods in the pasture of the old Tear Place. Are you familiar with this?
Trisha, the following is closest permitted Haynesville Shale well to your section. Also, your section was included in a Haynesville Unit (HA RA SUF) for the Bracky Branch Field operated by Samson.

EnCana, Black Stone Min 35 #H1 Well, Serial #239194, S35-T14N-R10W
Thanks for all your replys. If there is more known re. EnCana in my section please respond.
Thanks
New Discussion:They have started on a pad and the beginning of a well site in Red River Parish T14N-R9W-Sec30 It is on Hwy. 317 across from Max Woods home. Can anyone out there tell me anything they might know about this well site? It is in my section and of course I am anxious. I heard that they are making the pad large enough to add another section if it is as good as they think it will be. I just wondered if anyone knew if they are going to finish this well all at once. Most of the time they come back and drill the hole later and they have the machinery there to go ahead and drill the hole now. Thanks for your input!
Trisha, I could not find any permitted well for this section so either it is still in the permitting stage or just hasn't been entered in the Sonris system. Samson had applied for the following Haynesville Unit:

S30-T14N-R9W, HA RA SUF Unit, Samson, Bracky Branch Field, Red River Parish

Sorry I didn't have more information.
