I have found Congressman Dr. John Flemming to be just about the only elected official in Washington D.C. I trust anymore. Not just because he represents my state of Louisiana, but he recently proved to me at least that he does indeed represent "The Little Men and Women" too.
Without going into a lot of detail, I needed help on settling an insurance/medicare issue. I wrote to him, and almost immediately, he got the ball rolling for me. Without his help, I would still to this day, be head over heels in debt for my continued cancer treatments. All the claims that were denied were re-processed, and eventually honored.
He is one politician that we all can count on being here for us. Proven it to me at least. John Carrigan

You are right, voters support reps who will work for them when they have a problem with the government. I am glad Flemming's staff did their job for you. Liberal Peter DeFazio gets huge conservative support in Oregon because even DeFazio's enemies know that his staff will work for them. Nothing counts more than constituent service, even for those who might have not supported you in the previous election. They will in the next.

When you think about electing a rep don't just look at their political views - look at how fairly their office will treat constituents and if they help YOU. Service trumps politics any day when the govt comes knocking at your door.
