Does anyone know if they have started drilling in Sec 16 or 17 in Elm Grove?

What township and range?
sec 16, Township 15 North range 11 west, Bossier Parish,
and sec 17, T 15N, R11W, Bossier Parish
Petrohawk's Tullos 17H (239834) was reported Waiting On Completion on 9-7-09. The surface location for this well is in Section 16 but the lateral is in Section 17. Mineral owners in Section 17 will receive royalty from this well.
This is all new to me, waiting on completion --what is the usual time frame on that. Does that mean it hit and can they tell how good or big it is? Tullos is my maiden name and my brother who is also involved in this one's name. Is there anything we need to do?
Pam. This well has been drilled but not fraced. It will probably be completed by the end of the year but that is just a guess at this point. If you are leased then you can sit back and wait for the completion results on the well. If you are not leased and have not been contacted by Petrohawk, you may want to do some research regarding your ownership of minerals in the section. If you have a small tract, it is possible that Petrohawk just hasn't gotten to you yet but that would be unusual with a well this far along.
Thank you Skip. Yes we are leased with Petrohawk and the other section with Chespeake. Thanks for you replies on this. We are just anxious!
You can track "your" well on SONRIS. Go to the SONRIS Help Center group for links and search instructions. Good Luck.
Could be already fraced, and just not updated on SONRIS yet.
I looked at SONRIS and I really am not very computer savy. If you have the time can you look it up or do you know someone else that could?
Pam. What would you like to know?
The baron is saying it may be fraced already and just not updated? Just wondering if and when it is fraced when can you tell about the production and why are they waiting if they are waiting? For the price of gas to go up?
and is there a pipeline out there already or are they going to have to lay one?
The Baron is well aware that SONRIS is only as good as or as current as the operator's reporting. Since the last report was September 9, it is possible that the well is fraced, potentialed and turned to sales but just not reported. Short of inside information it's just not possible to know. All of Petrohawk's wells in close proximity are also nearing completion so it would be my guess that a gathering system pipeline is in the works. There are Petrohawk wells on a pipeline about three miles due south so the pipeline to connect to that existing system is relatively short if that is the plan. I am not aware of Petrohawk restricting production because of the price of natural gas. That's my best guess. Hope it helps. Good Luck.
