Have any wells been drilled in section 4, twn 10n, RNG 12W.  There are none listed on the sonris lite.  Someone said they drilled one in section 4 from a pad in section 3.  If so, wouldn't it be listed under section 4.  Who receives the royalties.  What about a lease..Our lease is nearly up and I do not know If we can release. Please advise.

Wells are listed in SONRIS based on their surface location.

The well iun Section 3 had its bottom hole in section 3. The unit for that well is section 3.

\HOWEVER, a well was drilled into section 4 from section 33 of 11N-12W. This well reached TD in december, and does not appear to have been completed yet.

Your lease is now held by operations. Soon this well will be completed and you will be held by production.

Do you know who the operators are...does it have a well # on sonris...how can we track it ...I really appreciate the information.
Evangeline  the well is being drilled on a loc in  sec 33. plb is in sec 4 of 10n-12w. serial # 242223 Encana i s the operator.
Thanks buckmaster..appreciate the info.

Hello Evangeline,

The well mentioned above is a Encana well and did drill into S 4 from S 33 of T11N R12W. If you drive a short way down Stewart Road the well is on the right just across from my land. The frac operation has taken place and the well should be completed soon if it is not already. Sonris lags the actual events at the site by some period of time but this well is on that website. I also think the pipeline is in place to service this well. You may want to contact Encana. Let me know if you do. I am as anxious as you are. Thanks Richard Cheek

Hey Richard...Glad to hear from you..Our land adjoins yours in Pelican...I work in an rv office in Mansfield and try to keep up with what is going on.  If I hear anything..i will be sure to let you know. Waiting for some mailbox money..how about you.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
