Linda, I always refer questions regarding wells in Shelby, and in E TX generally, to jffree1.  Julie tracks development activity in E TX daily and usually has the required data to quickly answer questions like yours.  I'd be starting from scratch to create an up to date snapshot of Shelby and your specific surveys.

Suggest you post your question in the Shelby County group.

There has not been any drilling in that area in three years or so (2010-ish). If Anadarko is leasing there now... that is an interesting development. That is all I can say.

Linda, can you provide a physical landmark, such as a distance to a town or a road intersection?

I would guess in the Corinth community between Timpson and Gary, not to far south of the Panola county line..

I think John is close to the best description I can give. I hope God knows where it is, we need it to start trickling. :-) sooner than later.
Our family lived in Timpson, so I believe it would be closer on the Timpson side. We have additional land more toward the Tennesee cemetary and the old school. We do a bit of lumber off that, but no one ever contacted us about mineral or oil/ gas leases in those parts. Wish they would.

I may be able to shed at least a little light on this.  In mid-2011 I leased some of my mineral interests in several NW Shelby County tracts to Anadarko (via Dixon Services in Tyler).  These tracts are in the Alexander Cameron Survey (A-110) and some other surveys in that immediate area.  About two years later I was contacted again and agreed to extend my lease for one year and delete a deep mineral reservation provision but only as to the minerals in Cameron (A-110).  I have not heard anything since that time nor have I attempted to contact Anadarko.  My primary lease expires in a few months and my extended lease in Cameron expires in roughly 18 months.  I am operating under the assumption that Anadarko has decided not to pursue anything in this area but we'll see.  And yes, this area is in far NW Shelby County, just barely south of the Panola County line.
