AJB. Docket 09-542 (Samson's Hosston Unit Plat) appears to show Hoss RA SUM as all of Section 19 and the north one third of Section 20. Neither of which has a unit order for the CV or HA. I do not know the reason for the size and shape of SUM.
does anyone know why 17n 14w does not have any orders or applications?
GW - That's the infamous "donut hole" some of us have been trying to figure out. The posts may still be back a few pages in this discussion.
GW. The hole would be much larger if the scale of the township grids was large enough for me to shade it by sections. Notice that adjacent townships 18N -14W, 18N -13W and 17N - 13W have a total of 15 sections under unit order out of 108. These four townships represent the bulk of the densely developed city limits of Shreveport and Bossier. The difficulty and expense to develop these urban/suburban areas will cause most operators to avoid them. And those companies willing and able to develop those areas have plenty of leasehold they can be drilling now under lower ng prices.
Skip, In 18n 12w the hearing was held 5/1 for sections 13,14,15,and 16. When will we no if the units were formed and where do you find tha info?
Catfish. There will be no formal announcement but the actual unit order will be posted to SONRIS under the field code. Don't go to SONRIS Lite. Go to the top of the OOC main page and click on Documents. Select Field orders and enter the code for the field. A chronological list of unit orders for that field will be displayed. The one you are interested in will be the last on the list.
You can stil use the original docket # to see if the order has been officially released in the document search.
Personally, I'm hoping it will be like a jelly donut or chocolate ecalair ... with plenty of good stuff just below the surface. ha, ha, ha

OOPS, sorry. :0)
The hole is the urban areas. most of 17-14 is urban shreveport.
Skip: Have you heard anything on my part of the world? S25 T14 R10. I get regular offers to buy my royalties but of course I will wait for the drilling. Thanks
billy. Your part of the world is very popular. Township 14N - 10W is one section/unit behind 13N - 9W in the race for the most units and/or the first township to have unit orders for every section. Sections under unit order or application in 14N - 10W are: 1,4,9,17,20,21 to Empressa, 11-15,22-24 to Forest, 25,26,36 to Samson Contour, 2 to Will Drill and 5-8,16,18,19,27,30-32,34,35 to Encana. I suspect that Encana may end up being the operator of Samson's units including yours. Good Luck.
Skip can you tell me anything about S5, T13N, R15W? thanks for all your help. CHK had a seismic done last month.
