looking at 16N, is there any reason why 13W and 12W have only 1 each?

Yes, b. There is. I made a mistake. Several members pointed it out to me soon after I posted it. The corrected totals are 8 units in 16N-13W and 6 in 16N-12W. I'll try to post the corrected and updated township grid this weekend. Thanks for reminding me.

Ha! b, An owner of even one good Haynesville Shale section would equal 20 Jed Clampetts. A whole township of HS and you could buy Beverly Hills. And fix it up. LOL!

i knew it wasn't so but at first glance, it made me laugh. Seriously, how do you go about looking into the HA Units on a more detailed basis, for instance to a section? Can sonris generate that?

Very good info thanks. Looking at Questar activity in/around Sec 5, 15N/12W, they applied for HA units and recently brought on line a well. I am still trying to broaden my understanding of the depth issues in that area. This area seems like it's at a cross roads of different fields (CV, Elm Grove, Caspiana).

Why do you think there has been no activity in S10 T10 R13? I consult SONRIS and any GEO maps I can find and don't get it. Benson

Roy. SWEPI has drilling & production units right next door in Sections 11 & 12. And Chesapeake has formed a Haynesville unit in Section 27. Much of the development in the southern townships was just ramping up when the economics went south. Considering the track record of the two operators in your township, I would say that the lack of activity will not last the year. Keep checking SONRIS and GHS, particularly the DeSoto and Sabine Group pages.

Roy. I am an independent landman. Not a geologist. I infer a good prospect for future development strictly by the presence of SWEPI and Chesapeake. There are other members of the site who are geologists and reservoir engineers. I would refer you to them. There should be much more hard data available later this year. Patience is a virtue. Particularly as it pertains to the Haynesville Shale. Good Luck.
