deltic stock is going nuts i guess because they have such a huge
mineral interest in the brown dense area and the leasing companies
are still going full bore so i would conclude that the well is a smoker.
anyone else have any insight?

HAPPY NEW YEARS JUDY AND ALL WHO PASS THIS WAY

Judy,
I think we are not picking on U. I don't know where U are or who U are, but my favorite sister just happens to be Judy. Thank you much for Happy New Years wishes. Perhaps I started celebrating a little early
Not hardly. I stop in to say howdy to Lum and Abner at least once a year. In Pine Ridge, AR.
Les,
How many bopd would you estimate with a "very strong smell of oil". I would estimate at least 3,000bopd :) Just kidding. Thanks for all of the updates and please keep them coming.
:)
I really would like to see a picture of the flare though.
Deltic is an asset (450k acres of pine timberland) intensive company that generates fairly low returns on it asset value, In their 3rd qtr report they report $1.5 M of mineral interest revenue (from the Fayetteville shale). A very small amount of Gr Revenue. The brown dense could impact Deltic but lumber prices (their main commodity) have been going up recently. About the only comment that Deltic makes on its mineral interest is to report the mineral revenue. Much of Deltic stock is owned by Murphy Oil stockholders because Deltic was spun off from Murphy as a stock dividend in 1996.
