I ran across this copy of TPH's rebuttal to Berman and just wondered about it's authenticity as well as the completeness of it as it is copied & pasted.

Thanks in advance anyone - :0)

sesport... thank you very much. A lot is being stated on both sides in order to confuse and cause fear among mineral owners. i tend to believe we have a lot to offer and they know it. jhh
sesport,
Great info. Thanks.
I wondered when (or if) responsible analysts would respond to Berman.
Sesport, I would recommend people listen to Steve Dixon's presentation at Chesapeake's Analyst Day Conference. He does an excellent job of explaining decline curves and rebutting the Berman position.

I read the TPH rebuttal on Monday and thought Dave Pursell et al did a great job of debunking Berman. The more I read Berman's comments, the more I am convinced he knows little about reservoir engineering and petroleum economics.
Hey Les, Do you have a link for Steve Dixon's presentation? A check of Google and CHK's presentation page came up empty. Thanks.
Bacon, try the following link. It is the 10/14/09 meeting.

Thanks, all. I won't debate the caliber of TPH's services & opinions, but I am wondering about the tone & "youthful" language in the TPH rebuttal. That's one of the reasons I questioned it's authenticity.

I'm taking a look at the link to Dixon's presentation, thanks Les B. (boy, just leave the library card out in the open now ... you could just "add" me to your card. ha, ha, ha)

again, thanks, sincerely :0)
Sesport, that is the tone and nature of all of TPH's daily briefings which makes them the highlight of my morning reading. But I can tell you those guys have way more on the ball than almost any other consultant or analyst.

I have read some recent papers from Bernstein that analysed the Barnett Shale and can tell the author lacked the experience required to evaluate such a challenging.
'K. I'm down with that. lol :0)

BTW, the pdf in the link won't open. Is it me or has it disappeared? I prefer reading as opposed to listening, but will if I have to. :-P
Sesport, try to download the Supporting Materials at the following link. It may take some time as the file is over 30 MB.
