Parker, the permit is really not that unusual. The Arkana Field was the location of some of the original Haynesville Sand (low permeability) vertical wells drilled in the early 80's.
parker - re. JAG Operating ... see if this fits the bill.

They're affiliated with a company by the name of Phoenix out of Canada.

I guess I should have phrased it better.

I already looked at the Secretary of States site.

I don't know the players.

My main question is --- are they going for oil or for gas?

And I was curious if it was HS, but Jay and Les answered that question.
JAG has been drilling HAY RA gas wells in this general area going back to 1979.
the state-line Haynesville oil play has been going on for decades, here is a well in the same section I would kill for #169422
ShaleGeo, one well??? Did that?? That is amazing.
Ah, my bad. I read it wrong. I probably need coffee.
Oil and/or Gas. Most likely to be classified as Oil well.
One "M" = thousand, Two "M" = Million.
Parker,

I am familiar with jag. I get royalty check from them on a well inside Springhill City limits, near Civic Center. That well was drilled by Crystal Oil and was later acquired by Apache who later sold it to Jag. I know a number of people who work for Jag. I like Jag. I had working interest in one Smackover well with Crystal and later Apache. It was Smackover well and we attempted to re-complete in Haynesville Sand about 15 years ago. Unsuccessful!

There are numerous Haynesville Sand wells along stateline from Haynesville to Texas stateline. I know they recently completed a couple of Haynesville Sand wells in Ark. just across stateline. Most of the wells are Smackover "C" zone or Haynesville sand producers.

I will be coming to Springhill area on 2/28. Will be in touch.

Aubrey
