Did Jay pass away? Was it natural causes or homicide? He was my go to geologist that was trusted by most of the folks here on GHS. If Jay is still alive and kicking, please start posting again, because you are missed here on GHS.

Jay is alive and well.  I swap emails with him regularly.  I'll send him a cut-and-paste of your post if you'd like.  I'm not sure how he'll take the homicide speculation though.  LOL!

Sometimes the oil patch gets to be a dangerous place. A landman got killed about 10 years ago in Arcadia. 

I think the geologists in The Woodlands are at less risk.  I certainly hope so.  LOL!

Send it to Jay with folks wanting to know where he has been.

Turns out a lot of industry members are at risk regardless of their position.  Mass layoffs are expected soon at many companies.  

Looks a lot like 1998 all over again.
