Since it's a slow Friday on the GHS, and I have nothing better to do.
I got to thinking, lately some us having been using songs to describe our mood.
Songs can be a great way to describe you life without having to go into detail.
What song best describes your life.

I just love youtube because you can dig up those old performances and enjoy'em once again.
I know, it's a lot of fun. You can see performances you haven't seen in years.
After the less then complimentary pictures posted of Nicole Ritchie and myself , some time back (possibly by site creator "H") , I would have to go with...........................................

LIFE'S A DANCE

Artist: John Michael Montgomery
Album: Greatest Hits

(Allen Shamblin/Steve Seskin)

When I was fourteen I was falling fast
For a blue eyed girl in my homeroom class
Trying to find the courage to ask her out
Was like trying to get oil from a waterspout
What she would have said I can't say
I never did ask and she moved away
But I learned something from my blue eyed girl
Sink or swim you gotta give it a whirl

Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go

The longer I live the more I believe
You do have to give if you wanna recieve
There's a time to listen, a time to talk
And you might have to crawl even after you walk
Had sure things blow up in my face
Seen the longshot, win the race
Been knocked down by the slamming door
Picked myself up and came back for more

Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go

Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go

Life's a dance
Life's a dance
Life's a dance
Take a chance on love
Life's a dance
You learn as you go
It's got to tbe by an old Haggard tune-" If I Make It Through December"
The way we have been working one week and laying off for three then work
a week and get three more then working three and taking off two more.
This song just seems fittin to some of us I think cause it's a long time til
December. I just know next year is gonna be better.
I guess mine would have to be the BeeGee's "I started a joke"
Because we finally get wells on our properties and the bottom falls out of the market and goes into the toilet and the economy gets flushed with it... anyhow, it goes like this...

I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
But I didnt see that the joke was on me, oh no.

I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was on me.

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that Id said.

Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was on me.

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that Id said.

til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was one me.

What can I can, I'm bummed today... we just laid off 175 people at work... and got informed that they capped another of the wells until natural gas prices go up!
the girls all get prettier at closing time.

I've been a lot of places,
There's not much I ain't done,
But when it comes to women Lord, I just don't trust a one
---They're gonna trifle on ya
They'll do it every time,
And when your woman starts to steppin'
Lord, you nearly lose your mind
Oh - Did I mention that I once had a crush on the Stinkfoot xylophone player, but it never came to anything

For the sake of completenesss, I needed to list one last song

"A COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE" by Hank Jr.
"Take this job and shove it" pretty much says it all!! LOL
My song would be "How great Thou aren't". My beautiful, brillant, couragous son fought a 14 month losing battle with a glioblastoma, which is a maglinant brain tumor. I am a breast cancer survivor. I prayed to God to take it from him and give it to me, but He wanted us to come back together as a family to share our grief as we watched helplessly as the tumor took away a little more each day. I promised my son I would keep on living to help his babies. Without God"s grace I could not face another day without him. He was my son, my friend, and my life.
