Completion and allowable data will be online sometime next week for the Comegys 6-7H, Comegys 32-29H and the Volentine 5-33H. I think there are additional completed and tested wells that will follow soon after those first three. I'll post results here once the data is uploaded to the state database.

Your welcome. I'm pretty certain this is the Comegys 25-36H #1.
Caddo Lake has provided alot of great memories for alot of people.I am afraid for its future with the Giant Salvinia spreading so rapidly. I'ts sad to watch the wildlife (especially the Egrets and Blue Herons) struggle through it to try and feed.I hope and pray someone will come up with something soon to keep it under control.
This cold winter should do wonders for the Giant Salvinia on the lake - most of it should be dead now.
The more wevil work they do, the better chance of getting cold adapted wevils.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming
KTBS, Channel 3 in Shreveport, has a report on Anadarko in N Caddo on their 10:00 news.
caddo lake, you are correct. Trinidad Rig 133 spud the Comegys 25-36H #1 on 2/8/14.
skip, in another discussion you mentioned that anadarko has ceased their caddo pine island efforts. when did they pull the one rig they had working there?
thanks, jim weyland
jim, I don't know that APC has "ceased their Caddo Pine Island efforts". What I posted was that they no longer had a rig running in the play area. I think the rig left a little over two weeks ago.
skip,
my words, not yours. i assume if they've pulled their last working n. la rig that given their poor completion results up there they're taking their ball and jacks and are going home.
jim
jim, you know what happens when you "assume"?! LOL! The rig is drilling a Haynesville Shale HC well in south Bossier, Elm Grove Field. So it hasn't gone far.
you're right skip, i do know.
one day, thirty + years ago, i brought a set of 20 year gas purchase contracts to the vp of gas supply.
while signing them, he asked me a question about the deal. my response was 'well, dan, i assume.........' .
he did finish executing the documents after breaking down the word 'assume' for me. he was gentle about it.
so to recap, i walked into his office as the young triumphant gas buyer and i slunk out glad to have survived making such a bone-headed mistake.
The weekly rig report shows only one rig running in all of LA for Anadarko. The other rig in the vicinity is not far away in Cass County. The rig report has never shown more than one rig drilling for Anadarko in N Caddo. I have followed the play since long before the first well was spud.
More Anadarko well completions reported. As disappointing as the previously announced wells.

their continuing to drill these wells really puzzles me. maybe they've got a really sweet condensate sales agreement where they net $1000/bbl. yeah, that's got to be it.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
