There is always interest and leasing going on in Most of the counties in south AR where production of hydrocarbons occurs. The first thing I would recommend is that you verify ownership of the minerals as well.  I say that because the early years of the industry saw much buying and selling of mineral interests from the land owners by those who weren't actually drilling, but were profiting off surface owners who needed cash by buying the minerals cheaply from them, and then selling to others. Quite a bit done by those representing larger oil & gas companies. Yes, a reprehensible practice IMHO. In the event you do own the minerals as well, post your legal description ( location within a section, township and range) and if there is an interest in that area, perhaps one of the professionals on the sight might contact you. How can you be sure you have minerals my escrow only shows no minerals held Does it haft to show if they were sold also I live in North west Nevada county any chance of them doing anything here.

Cathy, I believe that is something you will need to check with the escrow holder/manager as to the minerals. From what you said, it sounds as if you do not have any minerals through the escrow. But I am just a simple geologist so please check with your escrow handler.

Thanks for the reply, This land belonged to a friend of mine's wife and was in there family since the early 1900's, when i bought it from them i recieved all the mineral rights with it as well, it's located in Mckamie not far from the gas plant, i will have to pull the paperwork and try posting the description and other info on it and see what happens, i apreciate all the help i can get with keeping up on what is happening with leasing, i'm new to this site and it has been helpfull.
