Nobody has mentioned this well, which appears to be somewhat of a sleeper.  Although Nelson/Pryme have drilled wells in this field about 5-6 miles to the NE, it will be interesting to see what Anadarko can do!

Dominique No. 1, Serial No. 243229.  This well is right on the St. Landry/Avoyelles line and is most certainly a unit well for the  AUS C RB SUA, North Bayou Jack Field.

TD is shown as 23,200' and it is currently drilling at 14,178' on 6/27.

This is a really important well for N. Bayou Jack and Moncrief fields, including acreage in NE St. Landry, SW Avoyelles and on into Pointe Coupee.

My family owns land in the immediate vicinity, so I'm praying this is a barn-burner!

Sounds good to me.  But SONRIS Lite does not show any active permits for Pointe Coupee.  But you never know, might be an old one reopened and not updated on SONRIS Lite.  They are going to have to drill to figure out how to tap the resource properly.  BTW, our lease includes Tuscaloosa Trend (TT) at a different and higher royality rate.  So both Austin Chalk and TT are possible target zones.  I rather doubt TT though as it is almost pure gas and it ain't worth it to drill for it now days.  Like I said out of Harry Potter, "Now we wait."

Glad to see this play has a pulse!  I've heard more rumblings in the last week than I've heard since late winter.  Heard that the tubing problem was known and advised of at time of drilling.

Joe, one thing to look at is that some of the vertical AC wells in Moncrief field have been producing for a long time - so those BOPD add up - maybe it doesn't have to be impressive IPs - see Serial #s 219728, 219028, 220852, and 221516 for St. Landry chalk wells.

I agree with your premise but the problem at this point in time is these companies are income driven. If a well does not payout in 6-8 months its not worth drilling - in their words "Its not economically feasible". They are not in this for the long haul. Again, as I see it it is an attitude, in the industry, that if Anadarko can't do it no one else will be able to. They do have all of the experience that they bought from UPR. And as someone said a year ago when I stated my objections and concerns about the direction they were going; "Do you think they (Anadarko) fell off the turnip cart yesterday"? I personally don't see this coming back any time soon. I hope I am wrong.

One other point: Pryme has lost their capital. The group that had invested 4 million in them in the form of a convertible has pulled it. So Pryme has no capital to continue drilling. That is unless they find a "White Knight" to come to their aid. So again These companies have screwed the play up and at this point its DEAD!!!!

Call the Forum keeper. Tell him to turn out the lights and kill this thread. Good night Mrs. Calabash.... wherever you are.

Joe.... c'mon man....

Hi, can someone advise what is going on with Anadarko AUS Dominique Well.

Thanks

I spoke with a representative from APC several weeks ago.  They are frustrated with the well as it is producing not more than 50 or so barrels per day.  They were entertaining several options at that time in order to increase production.  I will follow up again in the next month.  They haven't given up on it yet.
