Hello Joe, Hopefully  you have some insight on what is ongoing in Livingston Parish...ANY new info would be  greatly appreciated... Do you know of any other companies coming into this area????  I know there  is seismic activity this weekend near my sisters property S of Livingston  >>>Oliver Wheat Road ....area.....Thanks

for your help...May God bless you!!!!! Colyell57

Good Morning Colyell,

Nice to see you are online. For a quick short answer: No, that is the only deep drilling in Livingston Parish. Obviously, with seismic work to the south though that means that someone is interested. They are coming........ Just have a little patience.

As a side note. we have around 15 wells permitted and/or drilling at the present time across the State in what would be the Eagle Ford, TMS and Austin Chalk trend. All of this has happened since the first of the year. If these wells start coming in with good results then this area will go NUTS!!!!

Nice to hear from you again. Keep us up to date on the seismic work and any leasing.

Thanks Joe, just curious as to where 19-5-5 is locatedin Livingston Parish!! I used to work for Permits dept. For Livingston parish council years ago and I learned a lot about areas of our parish!! I have some maps w/ sec/ts/range but I can't seem to find them at this time!!! About 2-3 miles E r NE of us there is Seismic activity.. My sister told me a company came by the other day and at this time they ARE doing seismic in the area NOW!!! She was told they are on Weyerheauser property at this time! Hopefully they will come back towards the West and back towards BR!! They told her that previously from near Holden back W to BR! Thanks for your info & please keep us posted!!!!!
Colyell, 19-T5S-R5E is 6 miles North of Doyle and 2 1/2 miles directly North of the Livingston Lookout Tower on Hwy 63.
Thanks again!!!! Ms Ilona Smith said you are a nice person & she is right!! Very helpful as this All became of interest to me in the 90's when we leased '95 r '96...So just keep the info coming maybe they /someone will get this right this time around!!!! Lol.....God Bless you!! Btw where are you located Mr. Joe??? If you don't me asking???

I'm up in the Zachary area. We also leased in the mid 90's. Had no idea that they were looking for TMS/Austin Chalk. That lease was to OXY and I think the the bottom fell out of the oil barrel about then and they dropped us. I think they have learned a lot about drilling shale/chalk since then and the timing may be right this time.
