As I'm sure most of you know. Kirk has cease to post on his site. That says to me the industry does not want that much information being spread about the Plays across the State.

I thank Kirk for providing the invaluable information that he has provided in the past. Now its up to you Guys out there to Scout and post the information here on GHS. My impression is that the industry is ready to make a big play in the area and too much information won't do them any good. That's how I read this.

Your assessment seems to be a fairly reasonable assumption to me, Joe.  "Live" wildcats can't stay tied up in proverbial croker sacks for very long when the hungry felines begin to claw their way out for more "oily" catnip.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
