New Austin Chalk permit 5/16/12

Nelson has permitted the Rosewood Plantation 21 H in Avoyelles Parish. Well Serial #244879. The unit is AUS RA SUGG. The permit depth is:20,310 which should put the lateral at about 5,000 ft. Hopefully Nelson will get this one right. They have been learning as they go and Pryme has at least admitted their mistakes.

Don't know if Pryme is still involved in the drilling of this one. They lost a $4 million investment when one group pulled the convertible after the Rabelais well by Anadarko, which they were involved in,  was not producible.

I was in a hurry and did not check my spelling. This well is by Nelson not Anadarko. Thank GOD its not. I just hope Nelson gets it right this time.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
