This is a portion of the report just released on Pryme's site.

Drilling of the Deshotels 13H No.1 well in the Turner Bayou Chalk project has been completed to a total measured depth of 19,029 feet (5,800 metres) including the horizontal leg which is approximately 4,000 feet (1,220 metres) long.   The horizontal  leg  has been logged to  identify the extent and location of fractures and enable accurate design of the Packers Plus production liner.  Preparation of the well bore for installation of the production liner is underway.Installation of the  production liner should be completed this week.  Following this the drill rig will be moved off site, the well will be connected to the Deshotels 20H No.1 production facility and flow testing will commence.  It is expected that the flow test will be completed by the end of August.  Justin Pettett, Pryme’s Managing Director, said “significant hydrocarbon bearing fracture zones were intersected in the horizontal leg and oil  and  gas were produced and flared during the drilling of the well. We are now working towards completing the Deshotels 13H No.1 as a producing well.”

We should know something in the next week or two what the production looks like.

Any news on Deshotel 13 well, Production outlook? Does Pryme or any other company hold any interest in Evangeline parish due west from from st Landry fields??
Nelson/Pryme is setting the well up to produce. According to their last press release that expect to test it into the production facility in early September. They are expecting 800+ barrels . I would expect more than that if they don't have down hole problems. Pryme only has leases in the North Bayou Jack area. Indigo and Anadarko are the ones active to the West. I hope others will get interested.
thx joe, appreciate your input....

Operations Update

Pryme Energy Limited (Pryme) provides the following update on operations at its Turner Bayou project in Louisiana, USA.

The Turner Bayou project comprises approximately 80 square miles (50,000 acres) which have been imaged by a proprietary 3D seismic survey. Primary targets are the Austin Chalk formation at 15,300 feet and the Eagle Ford formation at 16,000 feet.

A completion rig is planned to be on site later this week to perform the acid stimulation of the Austin Chalk formation and commence the production flow test of the Deshotels 13H No.1 well. Completion operations and the flow test are expected to take 2 days. Oil and natural gas produced during the flow test will be sold and the well will remain online following the test.

Site preparation for the third well to be drilled in the Turner Bayou Chalk project is scheduled to begin next week with a view to commencing drilling in early November. It will be drilled from an extension of the Deshotels 13H No.1 well pad.

“Operations through to the flow testing stage of the Deshotels 13H No.1 have run smoothly and as planned. We look forward to the well being brought into production and to the commencement of work on our third well in this project,” said Justin Pettett, Pryme’s Managing Director.

“With approximately $5.8 million in cash Pryme has sufficient funds to complete the drilling of the third well in November, to remediate the Deshotels 20H No.1, and to continue planned operations at its other projects,” said Mr Pettett
