How current is this map??
I dont have a clue??? I just found it last night. I've googled haynesville shale many times and last night was the first time I came across it so I thought that it may be a new one...
It must not be a very good one, it has nothing in Natchitoches parish and two shale wells have been drilled there. Look at petrohawk.com, under presentations and events, and I think it's on page 11 of some kind of report. That is the best map with all of the wells and the thickness of the shale.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
