29 days drillimg @10993', 2/7/14.
Thanks. I hope the lack of change in the last week doesn't indicate problems. Maybe they are doing some tests.
After 36 days drilling, 11,359 feet; 2/14/2014
Some progress, but slow.
Very good, obed. Why so slow? Now we can ask you all the questions we have about the Langford 4H! LOL!
43 days drilling, no depth reported, 2/21.
I think this rig was very much in less than desirable shape when Patterson took over and there have been a lot of things to fix and bugs to work out. I think everyone will see much faster drilling once everyone learns to trust Patterson to know what they are doing on the drilling side and turn them loose to drill the well.
Gatrpaw, that is exactly what I was told. They have had multiple mechanical problems with the rig but no wellbore problems. They are supposed to be at approx. 13,000 ft. as of Friday.
After 43 days:
Drilling ahead at 14,403 feet; 2/21/2014
Looks like excellent progress since last week.
That's great, Obed !

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
