I got a letter saying Encana has applied for 8 new wells in sec 4 and 7 in sec 9.  Has anyone else in 14n 14w received similar letters for application?

Sounds like a pre-application notice letter for Alternate Unit Wells. A good sign for Sections 4 & 7. I guess some will not be waiting as long as expected for their additional wells. Congrats.
Skip is there a place to look on Sonris to find out if other sections in 14/14 are getting alternate unit wells? Also I assume these were for HAynesville wells.
Not that I am aware of. I see them regularly as I check the Commissioner's Public Hearing schedule daily. However you would have to open each application for your particular field to see the type of application. There is no need to go back further than about September '09.

Skip, I figured out how to pull the maps. Thanks for your help
That is great. They work fast. We got our "letters" and it was not long before they were permitted and our well went up. Good luck to you! We are in 14N 14W also....AND with Encana
