We own property in S10, T15N,R14W. I have heard that Chesapeake has shut in all the wells it bought this year from Camterra because there were some issues with the gathering lines. Does anyone know anything about this?

My cousin just received a shut in notice from Chesapeake on his lease that was origionally with Camterra.  His well is located in Sec 1 T15 R14.  He said Chesapeake didn't provide an explanation as to why the well is being shut in.  I told him to call their main office...... he did, but got no answer!  ....  Can anybody shed some light on this??????

Oops....should have done spell check.......    originally!!!!!!!

Hello, Mack and Linda!

We are a (small) part of a unit originally with Camterra and later sold to CHK. We have received a shut-in notice, too.

I have not called/emailed CHK yet but will.

Thank you for starting this discussion-

Hey CypressKnees,

My cousin is worried he might never see another royalty check, so please let me know what you find out.

Thanks,

Linda

We have called CHK but no response yet. If I hear anything I'll post it.

Thanks Mack.............Maybe with three people trying, someone will get a call back.  .........    Katie, where are you??????

Hey, Linda!

I am go grateful to you guys.

Absolutely! I will contact them Monday and will keep the group aprised of ANYthing I hear.

We have never seen a royalty check (and may never) but have watched with great admiration the grassroots education and data collection done by Henry on this website for the royalty, uh, getters.

I must go look up gathering stations. I get that confused with the other stations of the gas.

CypressKnees,

I just sent katie McCullen a message.  Maybe she can find out what is going on.  Will let you know when I hear back from her.

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Linda

Oh, Linda, what a good idea! You're so good!

I hope she is able to find out.

C.K.

I just got some third hand information. An friend of the family said he had talked to someone from CHK who said there was definitely a "pipeline leak" and would take about 6 months to fix.

Mack, I am so ignorant, does that mean that all  Originally-Leased-To-Camterra (OLTC) wells are connected by the same pipeline?

I'm not sure I know the answer. Either that or there are multiple pipeline issues. The exact word I got was "told by someone from Chesapeake that the problem is a pipeline leaking, and wells in sections 9,10, 3,4, and 34  are all shut-in.  He said they anticipate the "fix" taking 6 months". I'll see if I can get more information next week.
