Evangeline. There are 13 additional sections under HA unit order in your township to SWEPI or Chesapeake. A good sign. There are no producing wells in your section so chances are better than 50/50 that you are not HBP'ed. I think you stand a good chance of getting a well or an offer for an extension prior to the end of your initial lease term. The pace of development has slowed. Please be prepared to wait for a while. Good Luck.
Thanks for the information skip. It is just so exciting to watch the drama unfold. Who would have dreamed that we could be sitting on a gold mine.
You are welcome, Evangeline. Good Luck. And stay tuned.
Evangeline, Chesapeake has drilled the following two wells just south of you in Sabine Parish but have not announced the results:

Chesapeake, Nabors Logan 34 #H1 Well, Serial #238703, S34-T10N-R12W
Chesapeake, Nabors Logan 27 #H1 Well, Serial #239443, S27-T10N-R12W
Les B, Is their some way to confirm that someone is preparing 3 or 4 new well sites just south of the two Nabors wells noted in your post? My sister who lives in T9N-R12W told me yesterday that she had heard something about three sites between Mitchell and Pleasant Hill about to be prepared.
Waltcop, unfortunately there is not an easy way to identify potential well sites before the state issues the drilling permit. I have not seen any permitted Haynesville Shale wells located south of T10N-R12W at this time.
Les B, I just read a post in the Sabine Group that said Encana was moving some rigs into Sabine Parish to drill some test wells and that they are taking over Shells operations there. That may be what my sister saw around Mitchell/Pleasant Hill/Belmont area a couple of days ago that I mentioned in the post above. Does anyone know anything about Encana?
Waltcop, I didn't know if you aware that EnCana & Shell have a joint venture arrangement for the Haynesville Shale (in Louisiana only?). They share 50/50 in the wells no matter which company is operating. EnCana has been very successful to date in Red River Parish and also drilled the vertical Messenger well in Natchitoches Parish last year. It could be Shell is having them operate some of the wells in Sabine Parish now.

By the way, thanks for the information.
Les B, thank YOU for the information......I was unaware that EnCana & Shell have a joint venture arrangement for the HS in LA. I would think the Sabine Parish Group would appreciate the info as well since most of the unitized sections in T9N-R12W are Shells, I think.
Les,

I think I know of the wells that you are referring. Do you know if these wells were drilled to the haynesville shale or were they shallow wells drilled in an effort to hold the lease.
Evangeline, these were both horizontal wells drilled to the Haynesville Shale.
