BBX Operating (Border to Border Exploration) Names Beech Grove (Woodbine) Field in Jasper County
Several people have mentioned BBX and they have been drilling the Magnolia Springs (Austin Chalk) in Jasper Co. since at least 2011. In late 2012 they started filing vertical wildcat permits on some of their AC units. The discovery well, Frances Kunkel #1H (vertical well), is the only well in the new Beech Grove (Woodbine) so far. The others are still Wildcats on the IP reports.The correlative interval in Beech Grove (Woodbine) is 13835'-13850'. It is a wet gas field.
The Frances Kunkel well, Lease ID #266499, is interesting because the IP was 3.621 MMcfd on a 8/64 choke with a 5553# flowing tubing pressure... from a 10' producing interval, 13848'-13848'.
The wildcat wells are much more interesting, however, because they are producing condensate.

I'm pretty exited by this as well - of note, like all development, this is not likely a continuous band of good productivity, but rather areas along a trend that do pretty well.

Does anyone have any specific info to show this is "Eaglebine", as opposed to Woodbine Sands? I noticed that 2 of the wells had to be frac'ed. This might indicate stimulating shale(s) - ? -

As you note, the woodbine sands should produce without a frac job. RRC being what it is, re can't really be sure the otehr 2 were not fraced as well.
The frac is the best evidence that these are part of the Eaglebine concept, but keep in mind that that name was given essentially to refer to any number of different producing zones, and is really not a firm geological construct. That said, this area generally lies on trend from the Walker/Houston County area to points east. If you look at some of ZaZa's presentations that are old, this area is probably in the area they mapped as Eaglebine. This far east, I start to think of it as Teaglebine, but that is a different story.
