Have mineral rights on 175 acres approximately 6 miles southeast of Clinton, Highway 63 and Old Liberty Rd. Was leased, expired Fall, 2013. No interest since. Any thoughts/comments about current lease potential in this area?

Much of the available information regarding TMS development activity uses section-township-range.  Although locals may have some information based on local roads and land marks the public record information for well permits, unit applications and monthly mineral auction tracts (to name a few) is based on s-t-r.  Your prior lease will have your property location by s-t-r.

Was your old lease with Devon?  If so, I would expect Goodrich, who bought most of Devon's leases, to come around when they are ready to drill in your area.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
