Haven't really focused on it much due to the fact there were so many drilling issues that were stringing these wells out. Kind of like going to Talladega and x amount of cars blew their engines on the starting line so to speak. You quit looking at the blown engines and focus on the few that made it across the finish line.
But 35 to 45 days average right now would be great if they can consistently do it. I think some of this latest round of wells have been going pretty good.
EOG demonstrated clearly that it can be done in 35 days or slightly under and I think the Blades came in at around 36.
The important thing is they appear to be making great strides in their ability to D & C these wells, bringing the cost down and oil flow up.
I speculate they will probably get it into the 25 day range at some point in time in the future.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
