My Sisters and I have 35 acres in mineral rights in the Eli low survey in sabine countyany leases going on there, Haven't lad a lease since 2008 any drilling going on there.

It  will not be a vertical well.  It is very close to the county line sabine and jasper county.

This is just my WAG but I suspect Endeavor will drill a vertical well to see what is under the chalk.  That is my hope anyhow because finding viable shale (EF/TMS) or Buda/Georgetown interval would be great for this area.

Can you tell me which survey your minerals are in & if they go "south", would that be in Newton or Jasper County?? A SWD well would be helpful, as I heard it used to be real expensive to get rid of the (bunch of) water...

They are planning on drilling the wells in Brookeland, they were good producers at Austin Caulk, but they let them flow wide open , so they tapered off , but they were still producing oil and gas when they were taken out of service.  They have lieased just up to my land, I havejust  a few acres in the first one. I think the first well will be a test  for further south, so it is hoping the first one is good..

Several of us are wondering the same thing.  We are keeping an eye on it but no permits yet.  

A SWD was permitted about 5 miles north of Brookeland on spec. (and rumor?) that the Brookeland field is being resurrected... by someone.

I thought those guys "lit a shuck" after drilling that dud up in the North part of the county... I wonder what they could be looking at?

Mr. King - except for "LacyLand" and the extreme Northern part of the county, things seem pretty dead... do you have any info around Brookland???
