Willis Bodine,
I started a new discussion about Aethon extended laterals & production sharing agreements by pasting your comment. I hope you don't mind.

Comment by Willis Bodine on October 20, 2017 at 15:45 Has anyone else heard from Aethon lately about their plans to extend more horizontal wells on existing leases in San Augustine County? I have received proposed Production Sharing Agreements for my three leases, and it all sounds very promising.

Martha,
There is a James Lime well permitted on the Gobi Unit and Crimson has just recently made two pretty decent oil wells on their Fairway Farms (537.0 bbl & 0.968 Mcf) and Kodiak (819.0 bbl & 2.232 MMcfd) Units. Gobi is further west and north of either of those locations so there's no guarantee it will make an oil well... but you never know. You might want to hold on to those minerals for a little while.
Comment by Martha McWhiney on July 2, 2014 at 13:43 The EnCana wells in San Augustine all have XTO as operator on production reports now. Just notice it today so I don't know when the change happened.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
