Thanks.  Can you answer John Brewster's questions also?

Skip-these minerals are in S5 T20SR27W, Miller County Old Kelly Bayou Field.

Rebecca:

What broker firm does your landman work for?  Who is their client (SWN)?  What are they offering?  You will not be integrated for less than what you have already been offered, and if they have offered or leased for better terms in the area, you would be entitled to comparable terms.  So don't be intimidated.  Ask him or her what the best lease terms anyone has given in the eight sections surrounding your section.

You need to review the Arkansas Leasing Manual.  And if you wish an answer to your question you will need to supply additional information especially the section-township-range where your mineral interest is located.

Force integration (Arkansas)? Landman wanting to lease my minerals claims he has 60% leasehold and has intimated that he will force integrate me if I don't accept his non-negotiable terms. I live in another state so it is difficult to check courthouse records. Other than paying for the on-line service, is there another way to know if the information I've been given is accurate? Thanks.

Regarding the Lower Smack/Brown Dense being present in Cass Co, TX, some logs in wells penetrating the horizon in that area show what appear to be the formation and drillers logs/samples describe the formation with shows of hydrocarbons. In addition, produced gas H2S levels are lower in some of the Upper Smackover wells than elsewhere, occasionally lower than a half mole percent, which might bode well for the deeper horizon.

Gerald,

If you don't mind, what were the terms of your leases.

Thanks. Jon

Bee, my family has land in three sections of T22N R4W leased to SWN so maybe eventually they will have interest a little further south
