Does anyone know of any activity in Union Parish around Bayou DeLoutre?

Comment by Bruce Malcolm on February 3, 2012 at 4:48

Do the "boots on the ground" know any more about the third phase of testing the fracking of the Roberson well?  I'm a nearby mineral owner via wife's interest.

LSBD WELLS AS OF 2/3/2012 is a page not found

As to question as to this formation extending into Cass County, the stratigraphic equivalent does stretch into NE Texas and at least as far west as Hopkins / Rains County. Gets deeper and gas prone in that area but it is still the primary Smackover source rock in East Texas.

courtney, there are two LSBD horizontal wells in Morehouse Parish, one by Devon Energy (SN 243422) and the other by XTO (SN 244072).  There have been mineral tracts located in W. Carroll leased in several of the past monthly state mineral auctions.  You can find the specifics on SONRIS Lite by searching by Well Serial Number and by Lease Sale And Tract History.

What is the latest status on Roberson well?  Also, I'd like to know what other wells have been/are being drilled specifically into the Brown Dense, and what their status is... A simple listing with that information would be helpful.

Keith, I appreciate the new site. I also enjoyed the old site but didn't understand the occasional apparently arbitrary deletion of my messages.
