Jay - thanks - didn't realize that Tuscaloosa was that shallow.
Looked like big island was contained to 5n, 3e and township 4n and range 3 e
Cockfield made 5-6 Million BO over its life from this field - pretty strong but finite reservoir and reserves.
It will be interesting to see what these two new Caba wells do - one is in the guts of the old field area while one is on the west flank / edge of the old field.
So hopefully this will be a better depth. The 5000 foot wells weren’t producing a whole lot of oil.
Assume you know that both Caba wells have drilled down to 9700-9800' / probably in the Wilcox. Much deeper interval than the main historical producing interval (Cockfield SS / around 5200') in Big Island Field.
Both Caba wells have been drilled to permitted TD's and had 5.5" production casing set to TD. Clanton in October, Costantino just last week.
No other info yet posted
I have a couple questions about #252103 Costantino, a big island well by caba and also #251976 Clanton, also Big Island by caba. Does anyone know anything about these two wells?

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
