I know that Chesapeake has a website that you can watch slide presentations on...that showed alot. Usually they are pretty tight-lipped when it comes to releasing info on specifics of operating simply to prevent competition. But I have seen maps on this website that show Chesapeake's wells on them. SONRIS website also shows permits and wells, I think.

My husband is a teacher also, so I can understand your goals about retirement! We talk about it all the time but it is still a good way off for us. Gotta' put our kids thru college first.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
