I have elderly family who doesn't want royalty money to ruin her financial status at her assisted living home. How best to protect this person and assure that she will be taken care of.Continue

I went on line and then called TRRC cause I couldn't figure it out. Talked with a woman named Nancy, absolutely no help. Called the office of John Pintera and a woman called me back. Her name is Ramona Nye. Super lady game me all that I asked for...until my internet crashed! Thanks ma. Bell, again. Kudos to Ms. Nye.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. David,
Financial Aid Center has a out a program (MAPP) that you ( or others) need to get about medicaid protection. $149 on Amazon. Well worth the price. They have a video on utube. Watch it before you order.
I take it you are in La.and the assset protection laws here are like no other state.
I tried to get info from 5 local laywers. None of them would tell me anything, and these were people I knew personaly. I then tried an estate planner. His info was pretty good but didn't jive with what I learned from the MAPP program.
I then found a book "Estate Planning in Louisiana" by Paul A Rabalias .
Lots of good info and answers in it. Try Amazon- May be hard to find now
We went with them for trust estate planning-cost like rip but everything got covered and was done in a reasonable amount of time.
Rabalias Law is in Baton Rouge but have offices in Shreveport,Monroe and Alex..www.rabalaislaw.com
Hope this helps you and others!
