Albemarle brine/O&G lease offer 2023

Hello Columbia County!It has been several years since I posted to GHS, please excuse my absence while activity died down.However, I recently got an offer from Albemarle for incidental minerals (oil & gas I assume) on some mineral rights acres I own in the vicinity of Village.  I don't think I own surface rights but apparently have about 7.5 net mineral acres interest on a 40 A tract.The offer is for $100 per et mineral acre, 3/16 royalty, on a 3-year term.Questions:  Is this the current…See More

Actually, we are building a home north of Vivian. I was born and raised in Magnolia, only visited my family who lived in the Calhoun/Atlanta area.

Joe, I don't think you will be jinxing anything regarding your ROW negotiations by discussing generalities on GHS.  You'll have to read your O&G lease, if you have one, to see if it covers ROWs.  Don't rely on someone in the timber industry to do anything beyond set a value for your timber.  Good Luck.
