AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

I have some news. Give me a call.
Manna leased quite a few tracts in 27. I've been told they lease for Chesapeake. I don't know why Chesapeake would have wanted it since Encana has most of the Section. Since they are a broker they may be working for Petrohawk now.
I've posted this in several place, but in case you've missed it, here it is. See if you can lease just the shale.
This lease is limited as to depth and covers only the depths encountered between 9702 feet and 11,334 feet (Electric log measurements) as seen in The Pogo Producing Company - Caplis et al No. 1 well (Serial Number 188469) located in Section 33, Township 17 North, Range 12 West, Bossier Parish, Louisiana, or the stratigraphic equivalent of said depths under the leased premises.
This is from a lease in 29 & 30- 17n-12w.
GOOD LUCK
I have a few acres left unleased and not having much luck either.
Are you in 19-17-12 or 24-17-12?
Did you get in on the leasing?
