just curious if anyone on here has any info about 2 wells CHK drilled in 1-9-12 last year. The wells were drilled over the summer, a permit to frac was issued in September, and there has been no other info on the 2 wells since then, I am assuming the wells are completed and producing, but there's nothing in Sonris that says that. I own land and minerals in an adjoining section. I could post this in the Sabine Parish group, but that group has been dead for years.See More
"Skip: I am shocked and saddened to read this news. Randy and I attended LSU Law at the same time, and he and I had continuing but infrequent interactions back in the 1980's when I was in private practice, both when he was at…"
"very interesting. Brookston is another company that has bought a number of older wells in DeSoto Parish and is operating them.
The video doesn't make clear the scope of the problem - they talk about the number of wells, but not how much…"
"our property is split between a 1980's lease at 1/8th with all deductions, and a 2008 1/4th lease with no deductions. But my comment is on the price of NG the royalty is based on. The price for most months is routinely lower than…"
"That’s kind of irresistible when you consider the skills set and the know-how that this industry already has in extracting energy from the subsurface,” Granholm told the gathering of oil companies executives, which included Exxon CEO and…"
"The prospects around Stanley seem to me to be less attractive than much of DeSoto Parish. Comstock is now drilling some wells in the SE portion of 12N 15W that reach down into the top row of sections in 11N 15W, but other than that, seems like…"
"My primary holdings are in DeSoto, but I have one property in Sabine Parish. There are a number of reasonably good producing wells in my area. I follow well permitting on Sonris, and the new wells permitted in all of Sabine is pretty low…"
"so, our next two checks will be “fabulous” and then we get back down into the reality level. I’m just thankful for what I’m getting, thankful that my grandfather bought this land in the early 1900’s, that my…"
Steve, I will be meeting with the editor of the Shreveport newspaper to discuss the possibility of a series of articles highlighting mineral owner concerns. I am considering including the Comstock units with multiple expired well permits. It would be helpful if I could ask you a few basic questions. If you are willing to help, please email me at email@example.com
Steve, I fully agree with your reply in the recent Dr. Fine/Robert Johnson discussion. I would like to point out that Robert Johnson is not posting out of interest in a discussion but specifically to increase the "web presence" of Dr. Fine. I don't know if he gets paid or not but the fact that he never makes a reply in these discussion threads and "favorites" each one indicates that he is just pumping up the listing of entries for anyone searching Dr. Fine on the Internet. Keith and I have discussed it and doing so isn't against the site rules and occasionally there is one or more members who do reply so Robert has not been banned from posting to GHS. I'm not a big fan of this kind of activity but it is common on the web.
Thanks for the compliment....... it's wonders what makeup and good lighting can do!!!!!!....... I'm married to Marshal Wayne Whatley from Pineville,La. We've been married for 22 years. My first husband was Willie Junkin from Delhi, La. Willie and I divorced in 1979, and Wayne and I were married in 1988.
Good hearing from you Steve. Hope things are well. I guess I look at this as lagniappe. If it comes, it comes. Just a little extra. But if it doesn't, I'm okay. What part of California. I spent my Navy time in San Diego.
Hello! I hope the site is a place for to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. We now have over 10,000 members.
As exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More
