"I’m in a similar predicament but the stakes are slightly higher. Currently receiving monthly residuals on several wells. Nothing over about 5k a month. Now the offers are flowing in via phone and mail. One land man who originally offered 250k,…"
"There is a hearing on Oct. 13 to consider the request to approve the 4 CULs designated in the letter. That approval will almost assuredly be granted. At some point after that, CHK will see drilling permits for one or more wells. No…"
"Thank you Skip, you stated what I was saying in a far more eloquent manner... of the four proposal offers that I received each of them has only one existing Well if anywhere from four to eight planned or projected per Pad... to myself, it is well…"
"Yup... seems the the 'Dogs are baying at the Moon' right now with request to purchase some or all of our Mineral acreage out there... I received four proposals this last week for our existing producing Wells, but the hidden sector of their…"
"Skip: thanks. Not having much tax knowledge, I hadn't thought about it being a capital gain, so, if properly structured, that could make the tax impact more neutral since the earned royalties would be taxed primarily as regular…"
"Four HA CULs? I am in a similar situation in a different part of DeSoto and once an operator filed for unit well spacing, the calls started coming in. First $3,000 per acre, then $6,000. Last offer was well north of $!0,000. No sale for me, but your…"
Steve, I will be meeting with the editor of the Shreveport newspaper to discuss the possibility of a series of articles highlighting mineral owner concerns. I am considering including the Comstock units with multiple expired well permits. It would be helpful if I could ask you a few basic questions. If you are willing to help, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Steve, I fully agree with your reply in the recent Dr. Fine/Robert Johnson discussion. I would like to point out that Robert Johnson is not posting out of interest in a discussion but specifically to increase the "web presence" of Dr. Fine. I don't know if he gets paid or not but the fact that he never makes a reply in these discussion threads and "favorites" each one indicates that he is just pumping up the listing of entries for anyone searching Dr. Fine on the Internet. Keith and I have discussed it and doing so isn't against the site rules and occasionally there is one or more members who do reply so Robert has not been banned from posting to GHS. I'm not a big fan of this kind of activity but it is common on the web.
Thanks for the compliment....... it's wonders what makeup and good lighting can do!!!!!!....... I'm married to Marshal Wayne Whatley from Pineville,La. We've been married for 22 years. My first husband was Willie Junkin from Delhi, La. Willie and I divorced in 1979, and Wayne and I were married in 1988.
Good hearing from you Steve. Hope things are well. I guess I look at this as lagniappe. If it comes, it comes. Just a little extra. But if it doesn't, I'm okay. What part of California. I spent my Navy time in San Diego.
Hello! I hope the site is a place for to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. We now have over 10,000 members.
As exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More
